My Expectations
All students are expected to be present and prepared, be courteous of others, and participate in classroom activities everyday. Learning a language takes time and hard work, so patience is a must. But the rewards for learning a language are countless! You will grow and expand your knowledge of the world in which you live, the people with whom you can communicate, and ultimately, you will learn a lot about yourself.
Recomendaciones para estudiar
The process of learning a Spanish can be very exciting if you have the right tools and guidance. In addition to the link on the left, some recommendations I have for all my students are to:
1. Expect to study at least 15 minutes every day outside of class. Even if you don't have homework, review your vocabulary or a new grammar concept. Remember, practice makes perfect!
2. Listen to music or the radio in Spanish, watch TV or movies in Spanish, and practice speaking to anyone who will listen as often as possible!
3. Learn new words in context: create your own sentences that are unique to you to help you remember a word. Personalizing language helps us make connections and learn faster!
